Air Niugini departs Hong Kong (HKG) on Wednesdays at 18:55 and arrives in Port Moresby (POM) Thursday morning 05:05.

TOKYO NARITA

Air Niugini departs Narita (NRT) on a Saturday at 21:05 and arrives in Port Moresby (POM) Sunday morning at 04:30.

NORTH AMERICA

If from Canada or the U.S.A., you must first get to a major centre on your West coast (e.g. Vancouver, Canada), then fly to Sydney or Brisbane, then directly on to Port Moresby, the capital of PNG, or through Cairns, Australia, the last stopping off point before New Guinea. GETTING TO MADANG PNG (Jais Aben is 19 km from Madang) FROM THE CAPITAL PORT MORESBY

Once you’re in Port Moresby, it’s a 1-½ hour flight over the mountains to Madang. You are now only a few short kilometers from Jais Aben Resort, and our driver will be at the airport to see you safely to your temporary home with us.

Visa Requirements

For most nationalities a 60-day Tourist Visa can be purchased upon arrival in Port Moresby. Check with your travel agent to see if you will require one prior to travel. Most countries do not, but be aware in advance. Passports must be valid for a minimum one year after entry. The cost for a 60-day visa is K100, and it is handy to have Kina already with you upon arrival, although it is possible to exchange at the airport.

Baggage Allowance

With Air Niugini for international flights the standard allowance is 20kgs, with an additional 15kgs for dive gear (80lbs) for a total of 35kg for divers.
International travelers connecting to domestic flights within 24 hours qualify for the same additional 35Kg total allowance.

For domestic flights the standard allowance is 16kgs (35lbs)
